Erika, Geoff and your loving family-
I want to reach out and express my very deepest sympathy to each of you. Raleigh was one incredible, strong and very brave little boy. Raleigh’s life inspired me and each person that encountered him. He simply amazed us, each doctor, nurse and staff member with his strength and endurance and fight. He had the most beautiful and handsome eyes, he holds a very special in my heart, not to be forgotten. Thank you for sharing him with me, I will carry him with me now and celebrate him helping to care for other babies and families in our NICU. You have been in many of my thoughts and prayers over the last few days, I’m comforted to know that you have so many beautiful family members around you to help carry you through this difficult time and in the future. So sorry I won’t be able to attend Raleigh’s service but please know that my heart is there celebrating his beautiful little life with you.

Erika and Geoffrey,
my heart breaks for your loss of your sweet Raleigh. I am so blessed to have been able to care for him and to witness his strength and resilience, and to get to know you both as well. I will never forget Raleigh and the way he communicated with his eyebrows or his sweet personality. He was born a fighter and he fought as long as he could. You are both in my prayers.
