Was a long time friend of Larry's. Our parents knew each other as far back as in the fifties. My mother Gladys Voracek, knew Larry's mother Dorothy I think in 1953, when they both worked at sacred heart hospital. Me and Larry went to school together in high school although I am 43. No worry when I was just a little kid.

I’ve known Larry for many years. I first got to know Larry when I first started work at Morgan Manufacturing and he was already working there. I found out he lived not far from me as we both lived in the country. I enjoyed talking with him and he liked to talk.
Larry was the kind of guy who would bend over backwards to lend a hand. The one thing that sticks in my mind the most was the one winter many years ago when I had car trouble. He had two ford pickups and he let me borrow one of them to get back and forth to work while mine was being fixed.
Later, I sold Larry a vehicle of my own and his payments were always right on time. I knew he was a trustworthy man. As time went on and years passed I always kept in touch with Larry. And later on, I hired him to mow for me and he loved to mow, especially when he got to drive a new mower!
It’s been good knowing Larry and I’m sorry he’s gone. But he will be in a better place. The biggest thing about Larry was his big heart and what he did for others. He will truly be missed by many.

I hadn't known Larry for a very long, but he was a wonderful guy. I met him through the church back in June or July of 2024. They were looking for people to help him out with groceries and some odds and ends. At the time I had recently returned from the service. Our friend ship took off when we discovered that he knew my grandpa and grandma. He was a really great guy to talk too. I'm pretty sure everytime we met all that we would do is chat. The shopping took for ever only bc neither one of us could stop talking. I sure enjoyed it. There was one day that sticks out the most to me thou. I was bored and I called him up. I asked if he wanted to go fishing out at the dam in Yankton and he said "Sure, I don't got liscense to fish but I'll go and keep ya company". We got out to the dam and I cast a line and jumped back in the truck and talked about random things with him. We'd get so caught up in conversation that I almost lost my fishing pole. I could always tell just by looking at his expression on his face that he didn't just enjoy talking with me but he enjoyed the company and the occasional being able to get away from his cell (which he called his apartment). I was always glad to help him out. Either that was by getting him out of his apartment or by taking him shopping or even just chatting with him. I tell you what this guy sure loved to talk. I told my mom "I don't know how many times I'd say well Larry it was nice to see you again but it's time for me to go...." I bet I'd say it at least 15 times before I'd even get myself to stop talking. I just never wanted to leave our conversations. This man deserves the best conversationalist award. I loved Larry like a brother. My name is Joseph Sees and Larry, you will always be in a special place in my heart.
