HOEFS MICHAEL
Michael Andrew Hoefs, age 50 of Yankton, SD passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024 at his home in Yankton, SD. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, March 29, 2024 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Chapel, Yankton, SD with Rev. Jacob Bobby officiating. The burial will be in the Yankton Cemetery, Yankton, SD. Visitations will be 5 to 7 PM, Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home & Onsite Crematory, Yankton, SD and then one hour prior to the service. He was born on February 20, 1974 in Yankton, SD to Stanley and Joann (Conner) Hoefs. He was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church in Menno, SD in 1975 and he graduated from Yankton High School in 1992. He was a master welder for most of his adult life and this profession took him to many places around the Midwest, but he settled back in Yankton and most recently was employed at EEI Enterprise (formerly Ehresmann Engineering).
Urn bearers will be his brothers, JR, Matthew, and Jonathan.
Michael was the oldest son, little brother, big brother, he was a fun uncle, and he will be missed by our family so very much.
He is survived by his parents, Stan & Lucille Hoefs of Yankton, siblings Michelle (Kevin) Guthmiller, Yankton, Shannon (Tim) Best, Goldsboro, NC, Jennifer (Scott) Carlson, Locust Grove, OK, Stanley Jr (Margaret) Hoefs, North Sioux City, SD, Victoria (Eric) Larsen, Viborg, SD, Matthew (Tessa) Hoefs, Yankton, Jonathan Hoefs, Yankton, Rachael Anderson, Yankton and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Joann Conner, Grandpa Robert Hoefs and nephew Zavier Larsen.
