Angie was one in a million! She was such a genuine human being...you always knew where you stood in the world with her and I cherished that about her. She taught "Pretty Bird", who had become her little soul mate, how to speak in Czech and if you were in the laundry room we shared wth her, you would often hear her scolding him, lovingly, in both languages. She often put me to shame when she would return after midnight from playing cards with her friends at the Senior Center, because I was waiting to go to bed and had been in my PJ's already for hours but was waiting to see she made it in. Mila and I played cards with her often and she generally beat us both every time! She was a lil' card shark, that sweet lady. We spent many holidays and holiday meals together, vsited other friends together when they went to retirement homes. We also took a lot of drives around Tabor and Yankton. One of our favorite places to go with Angie, Mila, Florence, Adeline, Irene, and Gladys was to Joe's in Lesterville. Angie would talk about the polka dances they used to attend there. She was always surrounded by people who came over to say hello and chat with her. Many, many friends. She grew the best tomatoes in the little garden area outside her Manor apartment. Many times, I enjoyed sitting with her in her apartment while we watched the Twins games or Polka Party. As her niece Kathy said, it was a life well lived and she will be missed by all of us. God is happy to have her near Him. We love you dear friend, will miss you terribly, and are blessed to have known you and have you touch our lives. God's Blessings! My very best to your wonderful family.
