I remember Terry while growing up in Santee. He was always friendly towards everyone, even us young guys. It's been over 40 years but he remains in my memories.

During the 1970's, Terry and I were the best of friends. I worked at Northeast Community College and we became associated by our joint love for the Native Americans in Nebraska. He was a blond Indian. The Indians in Nebraska loved him and trusted him (difficult for a blond white man). I was jealous because they did not treat me as one of theirs like Terry. But that didn't stop us from close ties. I would like to send a condolence to his wife if I had her address. Bob Schlimgen

My condolences to all of Terry's loved ones. I am his 2nd cousin. I grew up with Terry in Letcher , SD and have many fond memories of playing with him as a child around the cafe that Doris operated. We were the same age and attended grade school and high school together. Unfortunately we lost contact after high school. I wish I could have known him as an adult. Terry was 12 1/2 yrs. older than I, his youngest sister. The past 40+ years after our father died, he walked me down the aisle at my wedding, always lent an ear and with a gentle voice, gave me advice. I was so blessed to have had him in my life all these years! Rest In Peace dear one.

I was shocked and saddened when I learned of Terry's death. I had hoped that we would have more time together. I very much enjoyed meeting him for lunch last summer and was thrilled he initiated this. We shared many stories of boating and the work he did. Even though we only briefly knew each other, he leaves a hole and I will miss him.
