Obituary of Thomas E. Noll
Tom Everett Noll, age 75, of Tabor, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, August 25, 2018.
Tom was born to Tom and Eleanor Noll on August 20, 1943 in Tabor, SD. He attended the Tabor Public School and Tabor High School. After high school he attended Springfield College and Yankton College to earn a Bachelor’s degree in education. He then pursued his Master’s Degree through SDSU in Brookings, SD. He began his teaching career in Selby, SD, teaching business classes where he remained all 29 years until his retirement. While in Selby, he belonged to the Jaycee’s, enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing and helping the local farmers and ranchers. In 1995, Tom returned to the family farm where he continued to live until his passing. For several years, he worked with Don at Tabor Plumbing and Electric. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially with his large family of kittens and cats. Tom was known to frequent the Keg for the weekly “burger night” and Saturday night supper after church where he enjoyed conversing with the townspeople. He enjoyed playing the card game “golf” with the family especially after a Friday night supper outing.
Cherishing his memory are his two sisters, Rita (Don Fejfar) of Tabor, SD and Marcene Bohlmann (Bob Shutt) of Tyndall, SD; nieces: Christi (Mike Schmidt) of Tyndall, SD, Julie (Greg Bernard) of Rapid City, SD; nephews, Mark (Kate) Fejfar of Marion, IA, Dr. Shane (Sherry) Fejfar of Burlington, KS, Larry Bohlmann (special friend, Molly Pitman) of Lonsdale, MN, Richard Bohlmann of Jordan, MN and Laddie (Shelly) Bohlmann of Lonsdale, MN and many great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Tom & Eleanor Noll; grandparents, JJ & Sylvia Noll and George & Katherine Koletzky; niece, Lori Schrempp; great niece, Helen Bernard and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
