Starlene Kay "Momma Star" Castellaw, 59, of Yankton SD passed away on March 14, 2016 at her residence. Starlene was born in Bayard NE to the late Sidney Roy and Beverly Jane (Ronneker) Castellaw on March 27, 1956. She went to high school in Bayard NE. She worked as a caregiver for the state of Nebraska for 13 years. She founded and ran The Jeremiah House in Scotts Bluff, NE for several years. Also, growing up she worked at her parent’s cafe in Bayard, NE. Starlene is survived by her brothers, Kenneth LeRoy (Leica) Castellaw and Sidney Dean Castellaw. Her sister Brenda Sue (Greg) Muir. Son, Christopher Phillip (Tara Manning) Castellaw and daughters, Susan Jane (Jason Schaneman) Castellaw and Shanae Marie (Johnny Orr) Castellaw. Her 9 grandchildren: Isaiah, Tanner, Marciela, Jasmine, Trayton, Kalleigh, Kallen, DeSeanja, and Carol. And a great-granddaughter, Ava. There are also several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Chance Exavion. Memorial services and burial will be private at a later date in Bayard NE.
