Phyllis was united in marriage to Freeman Homer Boelter on January 28th,1954, and from that union had four children. On July 24,1976, Phyllis was united in marriage to Dennis Raymond Lowin in Bloomfield, NE.  which became their home for 22 years until building a home in Crofton, NE. Phyllis and Dennis made their home in Crofton a place where family and wildlife could gather. She loved that her dogs and wildlife knew that their home was a safe haven, where they would be well fed and taken care of.  Phyllis was an active member at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Prior to retirement she spent many years in the service industry, including owning and operating The Cedar Room Bar and Café in Bloomfield, NE and managing the clubhouse at Rolling Hills Golf Course in Bloomfield, NE. Phyllis had a strong work ethic that remained with her until the very end.  She was a collector of antiques, plates, steins, and spoons. However, her greatest joy was found in being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was a loving, patient mother and grandmother who nurtured through grace and kindness. She was the strongest, yet gentlest person, always putting others before herself.
