To the entire Bickerstaff family, you have my deepest sympathy. Rodney was a class act and a gentleman. A man of few words, but we did have some amazing conversations over the past year. It's hard for me to wrap my head around someone who was so young and stayed young, in spirit and body. He always looked like he was barely 21 years old (trust me, I carded him one time when he ordered a drink with his meal!). That put such a smile on his face and a couple of good laughs. Peace be with you my friend...though we didn't see each other often, Rodney, you always made my day. Such a kind and gentle spirit.

I want to express the deepest sympathy to the family of Rod. Rod was the a good friend and best co-worker a person could as for. Rod was a man of few words and wouldn't say much unless he really needed to. Rod was known as "Conan" to some of us younger guys because when we won the city championship at the yankton summit center, Rod would always shoot the ball to hard so the name stuck with him. Rod would deny this, but he wasn't only a good fancy dancer, he was also the champion fancy shawl dancer at the bonfires he would attend.(he would never own up to this) There are many memories I could share about Rod growing up and one day I will share with his children. This is a huge loss for the family and friends but as Budda would say, "god had a plan for rod"! Rod will be greatly missed by our community! I will continue to pray for his family! Until we meet again Rod, Travel well and Rest Easy!

To the family and friends of Rodney, When I worked at the Ohiya Casino (2014 to 2015) .. Rodney was so kind towards me every time we worked together. I am so deeply sad that he has passed away. Sending you all love and light for healing. Peace to all, Amy Petrik
