Obituary of Lori A. (Bares) Pinkelman
Pinkelman Lori A (Bares)
Lori A (Bares) Pinkelman, age 48, of Tyndall, SD, went into the arms of her Heavenly Father on August 28, 2018 at the Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton after a long, very courageous battle.
Lori Ann Bares was born on March 24, 1970 to Ray and Vera (Lane) Bares in Tyndall, SD. She was the oldest daughter.
Lori graduated from Bon Homme High School in 1989 and went on to study Child Development at Lake Area Vo-Tech in Watertown. She used her education and managed several daycares before opening her own in-home daycare in Tyndall. She loved and cared for dozens of children as if they were her own. Lori was most recently employed at her “dream job” at Rush-Co in Springfield, and even in her final days, she talked about how she couldn’t wait to get back to work.
Lori’s passion and favorite past-time was bowling. You could always find her at Tyndall Lanes, either bowling herself or supporting her friends on the lanes. She was a proud member of Gibby’s team. When she wasn’t knocking down pins, Lori enjoyed camping and fishing, as long as her family and friends were close by. She loved fiercely and was loyal almost to a fault. She was loved by many.
Lori passed away at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton after a long, very courageous battle with cancer. She went into the arms of her Heavenly Father on August 28, 2018.
Grateful for sharing her life are her children: Loren Pinkelman of Yankton, SD, Christine Pinkelman of Madison,SD, Grace Pinkelman of Springfield, SD; her parents, Ray & Vera Bares of Tyndall, SD; grandmother, Marie Lane Radel of Tyndall, SD; sisters, Nancy (Duane) Buchmann of Tripp, SD and Deb (Kyle) Svanda of Tea, SD; niece, Kelsey Buchmann; nephews, Preston Buchmann and Payton and Riley Svanda; her dear friend, Scott Nelson and her “furry family”, Tigger & Precious.
