HANSEN KATHLEEN
Kathleen Marie Hansen, age 79 of Yankton, SD passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Avera Sister James Care Center, Yankton, SD. Memorial services will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, July 19., 2025 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Yankton, SD with Rev. Dani Jo Bierwagen officiating. Burial of her cremated remains will be in the Frankfort Cemetery, rural Crofton, NE. The Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home of Yankton is assisting the family with arrangements. Kathleen was born to Robert and Catherine (Weigel) Conway on May 30, 1946. Kathy grew up in Aberdeen and later moved to Yankton. Kathy married Robert Adams and to that union their sons were born. Kathy married Erwin Hansen June 14, 1986.
Kathy went to college at Mount Marty to be a substance abuse counselor. She was then employed as a substance abuse counselor at HSC until she was injured in a car accident, which cut her chosen career short. Kathy enjoyed crafts including painting, making dream catchers and jewelry. Kathy also enjoyed working on her ancestry. She was an active member at Christ the King Lutheran Church and truly enjoyed their company and friendship later in life.
She is survived by her sons Robert Adams Jr., Yankton, Richard (Michelle) Adams, Mission Hill, Roger Adams, Yankton, Doug (Gaylynn) Weber, Mitchell. Stepdaughters Lorraine Erdmann, Mesa, AZ, Julie (Doug) Jansen, Everett, WA. Grandchildren Ryan (Nina) Adams, Tyler Adams, Hailey Adams, Cristian Slate, Derek Hoffman, Ean Johnson, Magen (Branden) Young, Brittney Weber, Trace Weber, Matthew Erdmann, Chris Jansen, Jon Jansen, Amanda Jansen. Six great grandchildren and one on the way. Brothers Robert Conway Jr, Jack Conway, James Conway and Daniel Conway.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Erwin Hansen, step son Jason Hansen, and granddaughter Ariana Erdmann.
