Teresa Bernie posted a condolence
Monday, December 7, 2020
The Bernie family of Colorado would like to express our condolences to the surviving family members of Larry Boerma. He will be missed. Larry always made us giggle and laugh with his smart wit. When we visited he and Patty in Yankton and Wagner, he immediately offered us coffee and would begin to cook a meal to welcome us.
Larry helped Patty raise her two granddaughters, Jadebrei and Deijah, who are impacted by his sudden passing. He will always be remembered as a kind and generous human being. He had a ready smile and warm handshake for all.
May his children, sister and nephews and friends find comfort in knowing that he was loved and will be greatly missed.

To the family of Larry: I am sad to read that Larry passed away. The heart is never ready, the time is never right to say good-bye. Larry's life was not over, but he was taken too soon. He had so many things to do yet, but so little time. You are in my thoughts now and in the days to come. I remember going with mom and dad (Ole & Ella Gray) to visit your parents John and Delores Boerema at their home in Vermillion. Us kids had fun playing with Larry and his sister Lisa. I have good memories of time spent with John, Delores, Larry and Lisa Boerema. Angie (Gray) Ladner
