Obituary of Jonee Ray Dvorak
Jonee Dvorak was born on June 26, 1969 in Yankton, SD to Vern & Mae (Voigt) Dvorak. Jonee attended Hope Preschool, Bon Homme 4-2 Elementary School and Yankton Middle School. He had attended Ability Building Services since 1986 until his death.
Jonee enjoyed attending Ability Building Services where he had various jobs. He was a very social guy and enjoyed greeting everyone in sight with a big smile, a handshake and a hug. When he hugged you, you knew you had been hugged! He touched many peoples' lives throughout his entire life. Very special to him was the staff at his group home at 405 Linn St. It was his home for over 30 years. He enjoyed coming home to Tabor about once a month.
Jonee was involved in Special Olympics. He was very proud of his medals in basketball, bowling, softball and running races. He loved to strum his guitar, sing and dance. His favorite foods were hamburgers and fries with a Diet Coke. No one in our family got more excited for Christmas, birthdays & family dinners than Jonee.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ability Building Services for creating so many opportunities for Jonee throughout the years. Special thanks to the staff at his group home at 405 Linn St. in Yankton for all the care they gave to him for about 30 years. All of you are angels.
Having been blessed to share his life are his parents, Vern & Mae Dvorak of Tabor SD; his brothers, Joe (Denice) Dvorak of Sioux Falls, SD and Jeff (Jill) Dvorak of Dell Rapids, SD; his nephew, Evan Dvorak and his niece, Ainsley Dvorak. He also leaves to mourn many relatives & friends.
Jonee was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Jonee was a gift from heaven, taught a lot of people patience and will be missed by all who knew him. Memorials can be sent to Ability Building Services at 909 West 23rd in Yankton, SD 57078.
