Dorothy was born September 21, 1920 to Frank and Antoinette (Foerster) Heimes in rural Hartington, NE. She married Lawrence Tramp at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Menominee, NE on June 5, 1939 where they resided. Dorothy was a member of the Catholic Daughters, The Ladies Guild and Oblates of St. Benedict and The Rosary Club. Some of Dorothy’s many interests and talents included gardening, needlework, quilting and spending time with family and friends. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Del Rae Merkel of Littleton, CO, LaDonna Ray of Western Springs, IL; son, Roger Tramp of Yankton, SD; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Antoinette Heimes; husband, Lawrence; sister, Julia O’Connor; brothers, Harold Heimes and Irvin Heimes; daughter-in-law, Norma Tramp and sons-in-law, Alan Ray and Allen Merkel. Memorials may be directed for Masses in memory of Dorothy Tramp or the American Cancer Society, 4904 S. Technopolis Drive, Sioux Falls, SD 57106.
